Pharmacies in England are set to expand the range of health services they provide to the public. The initiative will allow pharmacists to offer treatments for a total of 12 common conditions.

Among the newly included conditions that pharmacists will be authorized to treat are migraines and acne. These additions are part of a broader effort to increase the scope of care available directly through local pharmacy outlets.

The primary objective of this expansion is to provide patients with alternative access to care. By utilizing these services, individuals will be able to receive treatment without the need to visit a GP first.

This change aims to streamline the healthcare process for common ailments. The inclusion of these five additional conditions brings the total number of treatable issues to 12, marking a shift in how patients manage minor health concerns.
